The project was focused on young people. Through various activities they were developing their social, civic, and communication skills, as well as critical thinking. In order to gain information, knowledge, and understanding of European citizenship and its rights. With young people, we have researched various forms of participation at all levels, from local to European. We analysed different forms of direct and representative democracy, together with possibilities of participation at the European level. Particular emphasis was placed on elections to the European parliament, which occurred on 25th of May 2014 and on content important for young people - from recruitment to the protection of personal data and migration policies.
The project was lead by the Institute Za in Proti, in collaboration with partner organizations Development Agency Kozjansko - Šentjur Youth Centre, and the Kersnikova Institute.
