Delivered by partners from <b>Slovenia (TiPovej!)<\/b>, <b>Serbia (Libero)<\/b>, <b>Spain (BACKSLASH)<\/b>, and <b>Belgium (Connect International)<\/b>, the session went beyond theory and provided practical tools for fostering young people\u2019s social and emotional wellbeing.  <\/p><p>The ConnectEd project is dedicated to supporting young people in developing effective learning skills, prioritizing their mental wellbeing, and fostering meaningful social connections. A core pillar of this mission is the professional empowerment of youth workers, equipping them with the specialized tools and frameworks needed to guide young people toward a more resilient future. <\/p><p>The training in Belgrade focused on the key principle that a strong community is not just a social benefit, but a requirement for personal growth and emotional stability. By understanding community-building dynamics, youth workers can create a foundation of belonging, support, and trust\u2014essential elements that help young people face challenges with greater confidence. <\/p><p>The training sessions resulted in concrete, actionable recommendations for the youth work sector. Three key outputs were highlighted as essential for fostering long-term group synergy and resilience: <\/p><ul><li><b>Active Youth Participation:<\/b> A major focus was placed on the importance of involving young people directly in building and shaping their own communities. This ensures the social fabric is co-created by those it serves, increasing its relevance and impact. <\/li><li><b>The Structural Role of Rituals:<\/b> Participants explored rituals as a &#8220;Shared Framework.<b>&#8220;<\/b> Defined by repetition and symbolism, rituals generate collective energy and provide a sense of safety and predictability during key turning points and transitions.<\/li><li><b>Establishing Community Agreements:<\/b> The training supported the creation of &#8220;Community Agreements&#8221;\u2014a practical framework designed to ensure inclusion, safety, and active listening. These agreements serve as a social contract that empowers participants to maintain a supportive environment. <\/li><\/ul><p>These insights will be integrated into the upcoming ConnectEd implementation manual to support emotional and social wellbeing in everyday youth work.<\/p><p>The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme. This means it follows EU standards and supports learning and development across borders.
