Career Counseling

Career counseling for young people between 15 and 29 years old.

Career counseling or career orientation refers to activities that help young people make decisions about education, training, and professions, and empower them to manage and realize their life paths and goals.

It is a process in which counselors collaboratively help users clarify, specify, implement, and adapt to decisions related to education and work.

Content

Career guidance helps you acquire the skills to successfully manage your career path and includes:

  • information on educational opportunities
  • information on professions
  • employment decision-making
  • competence training
  • application and interpretation of various assessment tools
  • encouraging experiential exploration
  • improving decision-making skills
  • training in the “learning to learn” competence
  • creating individual career plans
  • learning job-seeking skills
  • resolving potential personal conflicts and developing interpersonal skills
  • coaching
  • support in case of stress
  • individual guidance and empowerment for independent career management

Counseling takes place:

  • individually at the TiPovej! Institute (in person or via online tools),
  • individually within the Career Chatroom of the KROJ Network (via social media, online tools, or in person) and
  • through the KAM’C digital career youth center on the Discord platform.
