City Incubator
An ecosystem that connects young people and the city at all levels of organization through ambitious ideas. We turn young people’s ideas into projects and help bring them to life. The program consists of workshops, mentorship, and financial support for selected youth projects in Ljubljana. It is designed to help young people map out a path toward life and professional experience, which in turn contributes to a better quality of life in the city.
Young people have exceptional potential to create solutions to the challenges of the communities they live in. They just need space, knowledge, and trust. Young people are heralds of change and with the right approach can significantly contribute to solving today’s social challenges we face.
That’s why the City Incubator is an educational-mentorship program for young people between 18 and 29 in Ljubljana who are ambitious and have ideas. Using a carefully designed combination of workshops, mentorship, and financial support – unlike business incubators – the City Incubator provides young people with a safe environment to realize their ideas. Mistakes are allowed here.

We invite young people between 18 and 29 to join the Idealists. Bring your ideas to life, meet new people, expand your knowledge, skills, and experience. We prepare the City Incubator program in collaboration with Mladi Zmaji, with the support of City of Ljubljana and Zavarovalnica Sava. The 2025/2026 season is taking place in collaboration with Center Rog.
